Geology and Mineralization:

Horse

Elephant is only a few kilometres from historically significant mines that include Fortitude and Copper Canyon.

The following is a summary of the compelling geological setting:

  • Gravity survey conducted on the property interpreted a set of NE trending faults with NS listric faulting linking these NE faults.

  • Geochemical sampling in the area has also identified an anomalous hydrothermal system 37 of 62.

  • BHP did some drilling in the area focused on section 12 in township 30N 43E however regional drilling has been completed on the remainder of the property as well.

  • Depth to the paleozoic basement underlying the unconsolidated alluvial sediments is highly variable ranging from 300 - 2,700 feet.

  • This variability in depth and the most recent gravity survey does suggest structural complexity.

  • A set of NE-SW trending structures may act as a barrier to general trend that resulted in mineralization at the nearby mines
